While we are coveted for not producing large amounts of oil; people with dry have our own set of woes!
Our skin is already not as hydrated as other skin types therefore hot weather dries out dry skin even more. Dry skin is also more prone to wrinkles.
Here are some of my favorite products to help with hydration and take the best care of dry skin.
L'Oreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water Moisturizer for Normal To Dry Skin
This moisturizer is one of my favorite for daytime especially when it is sweltering outside. The formula is light, cooling and refreshing on the skin while locking in a huge amount of moisture in the skin! The key ingredient that does this is hyaluronic acid. This is a naturally occurring (our bodies produce it) acid that works as a binding agent for moisture. Therefore while the formula does not appear to be the most emollient, it holds moisture in your skin.
Ponds Cream for Dry Skin
Ponds is essentially made up of just minerals and water. This formula is thicker and I love to slather it on after my nighttime cleansing routine! Be liberal with your application because you are simply going right to bed. By morning your skin would have soaked up all that moisturizing goodness!
Garnier Soothing Rose Water Facial Mist
Rose water has been said to soothe irritated skin, cure acne, cure eczema and moisturize among other benefits. When I saw Garnier launch this product of course I had to try! I love it to bits (I'm on my 4th bottle) because it truly soothes my dry skin. I use it as a mist after moisturizing, after my makeup application and I keep a bottle in my bag to refresh my face if I am on the go for the whole day.
Garnier Moisture Bomb hydrating Sheet Masks
One of my very favorite products to have for my at home spa nights! These sheet masks are soothing and highly moisturizing as they also contain hyaluronic acid. I generally apply them in the evening and wake up to luminous, moisturized and glowing skin.
Of course we have to ingest water to keep our body hydrated. This works wonders for your skin. Upping your water intake will reap undeniable benefits and you will feel the difference. I know quite a few of you do not like to just drink plain water. Try adding mint leaves, berries or even citrus fruit to add some flavor and make drinking water more enjoyable.
Hydration is key if you want to have plump, luminous and healthy skin.
