Advice for Brides

As bridal season approaches I am always looking for ways to make my Beauties feel special. This is a day you will never forget, you want to look simply beautiful. My motto is ‘a bride should look and feel like the best possible version of herself’. Here are some tips of things you can do to prepare leading up to your big day!

Delegate. I know how easy it is to micro manage everything, especially when you the actually wedding day to be perfect. Taking on more than you can handle will not help you. The result is a super stressed bridezilla version of yourself and nobody wants that. In addition stress wreaks havoc on your skin and you want to definitely look your best on your day. So to avoid this be sure to have a point person; someone you trust and you know has your best interest at heart.

Time your facial. This is pivotal. Any skincare treatments that you want to do must be done at least a month before. You should be taking care of your skin leading up to that time in any case. However I know a lot of ladies like to squeeze in a treatment especially before their wedding to ensure radiant, smooth skin. You want to give yourself time for your skin to settle whether it’s a peel or detox treatment. Breakouts are normal after a facial because the toxins are leaving the skin. So give yourself at least 4 weeks before your day; by that time your skin would be glowing, even-toned and radiant.

Pamper Yourself. Book a spa day a few days before you wedding. Get a massage, pedicure or whatever treatment you think would help you relax the most. If you do not want to rack up any more bills at this time however, you can easily do a DIY (Do It Yourself) version of a spa evening to save money. Add lavender scented oil to your bubble bath while listening to relaxing music. Do a foot soak, a body scrub; a face mask….the possibilities are endless.

Do a Bridal Trial. I recommend doing this to every single bride no matter how low maintenance you think you are. Trials are where you get to test various looks and even see how products react with your skin. The amount of anxiety just having a trial can relieve is amazing. You will rest a a lot easier knowing how you will look on your wedding day ahead of time.
