Top 5: The Makeup Highlighter Edition

July 12, 2017

It's forever Summer here in Barbados, however in this party season people like to glow a little more. Let me show you my favorite makeup highlighters for bringing that bronzed glowing skin every single time!

1) NYX Copper Blush

This blush doubles beautifully as a highlighter on medium to dark skin tones. It is not extremely pigments therefore it adds a natural glow to the skin. By far my favorite everyday highlighter and at the average price of $8-$10  BDS its very affordable.

2) J Cat Beauty Bronzer in Bora Bora

The particles in this pressed bronzer are not a finely milled as other powder products however the glow you get from this product is fantastic. Admittedly I would also wear this everyday although it is not as subtle as Copper from NYX. Glam is the game and you all know I would swim in highlighter if I could.

3) Becca Pressed Highlighter in Champagne Pop

You fair beauties can definitely use this as a full on highlight. I use this as a highlight topper for medium skin tones. I love this formula because it is soft in texture, highly pigmented and blends out like a dream. I layer it only on the very top of my cheekbones over a base highlight to create dimension and a little drama. I am a very aware this seems to be quite extra however the result is soo worth it. Stunning.

4) Artist Couture Diamond Glow Powder in Conceited

This highlighter is not for the tame at heart. Firstly it is a loose powder, therefore you must handle with care. One small amount delivers a bronzed, shimmery highlight like no other. I keep this in my makeup arsenal for when I want to add that stop ,drop and stare effect when I walk into a room.

5) Melanie Mills Gleamlicious Body Radiance in Rose Gold

I prefer to use powder highlights on my face because of our temperature and humidity here in Barbados. Liquid highlighter is a must and this is hands down the best. Squeeze a bit into your hands and slather it over your shoulders, decolletage and chest for sun-kissed glowing skin. As a dupe you can check out the Maybelline Strobing Liquid; it definitely does the trick as well and the price point is more attractive.

What do you beauties love for the glow? Tell us your very favorite highlighter; let's compare notes!

xoxo
